Walton County District 4 Commissioner Sara Comander, the Solid Waste Department and Public Works is hosting a community clean up day in Choctaw Beach.
Waste tire amnesty will also be held on the same date, during the same hours and at both locations. Walton County residents may bring up to 12 tires per residence.
Dumpsters provided for Walton County residents to dump trash, yard debris, tires, appliances, and other miscellaneous items. A crew and equipment to off-load heavy items will be available. Recycling trailers will also be available for newsprint, cardboard, and aluminum. Limit of (4) tires per household.
DO NOT BRING: POISONS, PESTICIDES, PAINTS, THINNERS, GASOLINE, AND OTHER FLAMMABLES.

Event Details Westonwood Ranch is a 501c(3), not-for-profit organization located in Freeport, Florida that is designed to teach job skills and functional life skills training to individuals affected by autism and related developmental disorders. The professionally sanctioned rodeo presented by Walton County Sheriff’s Department will take place Friday, March 23 through Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Freeport Regional Sports Complex. The Professional Cowboy Association’s biggest superstars will be competing in Bareback Bronc Riding, Calf Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Break-A-Way Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Team Roping, and Bull Riding. Local food vendors including The Big Red Truck, Café Rico, and Kona Ice will be present along with a children’s bounce and play area, a mechanical bull and more. Tickets available for purchase at the gate. All proceeds benefit Westonwood Ranch, a new program for individuals affected by autism.

Are your kids all about THE DRAMA?!?!? Drop them at The REP’s Improv Bootcamp Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00PM-3:15PM to release some of their creative energy! Our staff of professional actors guide children on a journey through the imagination; creating stories and developing characters which require quick wit and inventive thinking through structured curriculum. Bootcamp attendees are invited back for a group performance each Friday at 3:30 during our Stories by The Sea (located at Solomon Square – 45 Central Square Seaside, FL) so they can show off their skills. This is a free performance date and there is no cost to students who have previously attended an Improv Bootcamp class.
