ITB NO: 23-16 CR 83A BEAR CREEK BRIDGE

INTRODUCTION: Sealed bids for the CR 83A Bear Creek Bridge Project will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County" at:

Office of Central Purchasing

176 Montgomery Circle

DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435  

Bids will be received until 3:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME on May 4th, 2023, and will be opened immediately thereafter. 

SCOPE OF WORK:  The project consists of constructing a new 68-foot concrete two-span vehicular bridge on concrete pilings on County Road 83A. The project also includes demolition of the existing double concrete box culvert on County Road 83A along with earthwork activities and rip-rap to stabilize the slopes under the proposed bridge.

A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 A.M. on April 13th, 2023, at the Walton County Public Works building at 117 Montgomery Circle DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Bidders may also attend the pre-bid meeting via teleconference by dialing 850-635-0655, extension 261217. 
 

Last date to submit questions is April 24th, 2023, no later than 12:00 Noon. All questions are to be directed in writing to . DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER AND ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED. Questions received after such date and time will not be answered. 
 
Bidder is responsible for the delivery of its bid. Bids received after the specified day and time will not be opened. 
 
To be considered, Bidder must submit bid digitally on a USB THUMB DRIVE, along with ONE ORIGINAL PAPER BID, in a sealed envelope clearly marked "ITB 23-16 CR 83A BEAR CREEK BRIDGE" addressed to Bids: Central Purchasing at 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
