BID: US HWY 331 MEDIAN AND RIGHT OF WAY MAINTENANCE

INTRODUCTION: Sealed bids for the US HWY 331 MEDIAN AND RIGHT OF WAY MAINTENANCE will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County" at the address shown below:

Bids will be received until 3:30 P.M. LOCAL TIME on August 8th, 2022, and will be opened immediately thereafter. 

SCOPE OF WORK:  Contractor must be a certified Lawn and Ornamental Pest Control Operator and shall provide median and right of way maintenance on US 331 from Hwy 98 to Bay Grove Blvd. Maintenance will include mowing, edging, weeding, herbicide/pesticide, pruning, mulching, litter pick up, irrigation and special care requirements per the standards provided by the 2012 or later version of "A Guide for Roadside Vegetation Management" and “A Guide for Tree and Palm Maintenance Along Florida Roadsides”.

MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 AM on July 18th, 2022, at the TDC Beach Maintenance Facility 924 South County Highway 83 Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459. Bidders may also attend the pre-bid meeting via teleconference by dialing 850-635-0655, extension 268554. 
 
Bidders attending via teleconference are strongly encouraged to join the teleconference at least 10 minutes before the designated start time. If unable to join the teleconference at the number above, please call 850-892-8155 and ask to be included in the Choctaw Beach Fire Station Project Prebid Meeting.

Attendance will be confirmed via roll call at no later than 5 minutes after the designated start time and any Bidder not present for the roll call will not be eligible to bid on the project.

Last date to submit questions is August 1st, 2022, no later than 12:00 Noon. All questions are to be directed in writing to the Purchasing Manager at . DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER AND ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED. Questions received after such date and time will not be answered. 
 
Bidder is responsible for the delivery of its bid. Bids received after the specified day and time will not be opened. 
 
To be considered, Bidder must submit bid digitally on a USB THUMB DRIVE, along with ONE ORIGINAL PAPER BID, in a sealed envelope with " ITB 22-028 US HWY 331 MEDIAN AND RIGHT OF WAY MAINTENANCE " clearly marked on front of envelope, addressed to Central Purchasing at 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
