BID: NORTH SPOOKY LANE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS

INTRODUCTION: Sealed bids for the NORTH SPOOKY LANE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County" at the address shown below:

Bids will be received until 10:00 A.M. LOCAL TIME on July 18, 2022, and will open immediately thereafter. 

PROJECT: The project to be bid upon is described as follows: Paving, striping, and signage for approximately 480 lineal foot of 18’ wide existing dirt road known as North Spooky Lane off Scenic Highway 30A.  Project includes the installation of new 4 new drainages structures and associated conveyance. Coordination with utility provider is required.  New water and sewer lines will be installed by utility provider. FDOT certified contractor will be required to maintain access to homes on North Spooky Lane during construction.

A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held at 9:00 AM on June 29th, 2022, at the Walton County Public Works Conference Room, 117 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435. Bidders may also attend the pre-bid meeting via teleconference by dialing 850-635-0655, extension 265034. 

Bidders attending in person must be present at the designated start time of the pre-bid conference and must remain until the conference is adjourned. 

Bidders attending via teleconference are strongly encouraged to join the teleconference at least 10 minutes before the designated start time. If unable to join the teleconference at the number above, please call 850-892-8108 and ask to be included in the Sealed bids for the NORTH SPOOKY LANE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS Prebid Meeting. Attendance of ALL bidders will be confirmed via roll call at no later than 5 minutes after the designated start time and any Bidder not present for the roll call will not be eligible to bid on the project. ALL Bidders must remain until the conference is adjourned. The County will not accept bids from bidders arriving after attendance is confirmed or departing prior to adjournment of the pre-bid conference. 

Last date to submit questions is July 7th, 2022, no later than 12:00 Noon. All questions are to be directed in writing to the County Purchasing Manager. Questions received after such date and time will not be answered. DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER AND ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED. 

Bidder is responsible for the delivery of its bid. Bids received after the specified day and time will not be opened. 

The Purchasing Department is closed all Fridays and the following dates; May 30, June 20 and July 4, 2022.

To be considered, Bidder must submit bid digitally on a USB THUMB DRIVE, along with ONE ORIGINAL PAPER BID, in a sealed envelope with Bid number along with " ITB 22-015 NORTH SPOOKY LANE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS " on front of envelope, addressed to Office of Central Purchasing at 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
