Description:

Sealed bids for the GRADY BROWN PARK PHASE III IMPROVEMENTS will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County".
 
 Bids will be received until 10:00 A.M. LOCAL TIME on December 13, 2021, and will open immediately thereafter.
 
SCOPE OF WORK:  The Project site is located at the Grady Brown Park, north of the Clyde B. Wells Bridge at the intersection of Bay Grove Road and US 331. Work on the Project includes constructing approximately 340 linear feet of retaining wall, construction of a temporary dewatering area, dredging of the existing basin and channel, construction of a groin, renourishment/expansion of the beach area, construction of a foundation for an 80’ flag pole to include the lighting conduit, and ancillary concrete work as shown on the plans.

A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid will be held at 9:00 AM on November 30, 2021, at the Walton County Public Works Conference Room 117 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435. Bidders may also attend the pre-bid meeting via teleconference by dialing 850-635-0655, extension 265034.
 
Bidders attending via teleconference are strongly encouraged to join the teleconference at least 10 minutes before the designated start time. If unable to join the teleconference at the number above, please call 850-892-8108 and ask to be included in the Grady Brown Park Phase III Improvements Prebid Teleconference.

Last date to submit questions is December 2, 2021, no later than 12:00 Noon. All questions are to be directed in writing to the County Purchasing Agent. DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER, AND ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED. Questions received after such date and time will not be answered.
 
Bidder is responsible for the delivery of its bid. Bids received after the specified day and time will not be opened.
 
Our area is not a designated overnight FedEx delivery. The Purchasing Department is closed all Fridays and also on November 11, 24, 25, and 26, 2021. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure their bid package is delivered on time and to the correct designated place.

To be considered, Bidder must submit bid digitally on a USB THUMB DRIVE, along with ONE ORIGINAL PAPER BID, in a sealed envelope with Bid number along with "GRADY BROWN PARK PHASE III IMPROVEMENTS" on front of envelope, addressed to Central Purchasing at 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435
