Description:
Sealed bids for the CR185 SCOP Roadway Improvements project will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County" at:
                                            Office of Central Purchasing
                                            176 Montgomery Circle
    DeFuniak Springs, Fl 32435
until 10:00AM local time on August 3, 2020. The project is a milling and resurfacing project that extends approximately 6.9 miles from State Road 83 to the Holmes County Line in Walton County, Florida.  Improvements include milling and resurfacing of an existing two-lane roadway with some minor drainage improvements, mailbox replacement, erosion control and pavement markings.  This project is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) as part of their Small County Outreach Program (SCOP).

DEADLINE:  August 3, 2020 no later than 10:00AM local time and will open immediately thereafter.

BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY OF ITS BID.  BIDS RECEIVED AFTER THE SPECIFIED DATE AND TIME WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR OPENED.  THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED ON ALL FRIDAYS.  WE WILL ALSO BE CLOSED ON JULY 2, 2020.
OUR AREA IS NOT A GUARANTEED FED EX OVERNIGHT DELIVERY.

LATE SUBMITTALS RECEIVED AFTER THE AFOREMENTIONED DEADLINE DATE, EITHER BY MAIL OR OTHERWISE, WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AND WILL BE RETURNED UNOPENED. THE TIME OF RECEIPT WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE TIME RECEIVED IN THE PURCHASING AGENT'S OFFICE. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER FOR ASSURING THAT THE BID IS RECEIVED IN THE PURCHASING OFFICE BY THE DESIGNATED DATE AND TIME. NO FAXED, ELECTRONIC, OR ORAL BID WILL BE ACCEPTED.

To be considered, Bidder must submit original on thumb drive along with one hard copy of  bid in a sealed envelope or package, clearly marked with the bidder's name, address and the words "CR185 SCOP ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT" addressed to:

MANDATORY PRE-CONFERENCE- to be held on July 15, 2020 at 10:30AM, via teleconference, 850-635-0655 and extension 261221.  Bidders must be dialed in at the designated time and must remain until the conference is adjourned.  County will not accept bids from bidders dialed in after designated start time or disconnect prior to adjournment of the pre-bid conference.
