Description:
Sealed bids for the CR 883 Improvements will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County".

SCOPE: CR 883 Improvement Project is a milling and resurfacing project that extends approximately 3.8 miles from Azalea Drive to US Highway 331 in Walton County, Florida. Improvements include milling and resurfacing of an exiting two-lane roadway with paved shoulders and turn lanes as well as some minor drainage improvements, mailbox replacement, erosion control and pavement markings.  This project is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) as part of their County Incentive Grant Program (CIGP). There are two industrial parks, Freeport High School, Freeport Elementary School and numerous local businesses that utilize this roadway.

CLOSING DATE; December 12, 2019   January 6, 2020 no later than 10:00AM local time and will open immediately thereafter.

Last day to submit questions is December 3, 16, 2019 no later than 12:00Noon local time.  Questions shall be submitted to Purchasing Agent by email.

MANDATORY PRE-BID will be held on November 20, December 11. 2019 at the District 4 Department on 161 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Fl 32435 at 9:00AM local time.  Pre-Bid will start promptly at 9:00AM, vendors who arrive late may stay, but will NOT be allowed to submit a bid.                                  

To be considered, vendors should submit one original and three (3) copies of each bid with the words "CR 883 IMPROVEMENTS" on the front of a sealed envelope and delivered to:

BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY OF ITS BID.  BIDS RECEIVED AFTER THE SPECIFIED DAY AND TIME WILL NOT BE OPENED.  THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED ON ALL FRIDAYS AND NOVEMBER 11, 27, 28, 29 FOR HOLIDAYS.
