Walton-DeFuniak Springs Library Summer Reading Program - July

Summer Reading for Teen and Youth Kicks off July 10.  Middle school and high school students are invited for weekly programs on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 during the month of July at the Walton-DeFuniak Springs Library located at 3 Circle Drive in Defuniak Springs, FL.

  • July 10, Libraries Rock: Musi-Matics. Our teen and youth activities program kicks off with Musi-Matics. Music is math: challenge your friends to Guitar Hero and design your own literary guitar craft.
  • July 17, Libraries Rock: Brain Rhythm. Music increases learning: play musical trivia, charades, and Silent Library games and make rock candy and rock crystals.
  • July 24, Libraries Rock: Musical History Tour. Music is connected to our history: scavenger hunt for musical clues to solve the mystery and make guitar pick necklaces.
  • July 31, Libraries Rock: Cymbatics. Music is science: Just Dance competition and create art using your name and sound waves.
