PUBLIC NOTICE: Walton Commissioners and Staff to Travel to Tallahassee for 2019 FAC Conference


Please be advised that two or more Walton County Commissioners and County Staff will be traveling to Tallahassee to attend the 2019 Florida Association of Counties Conference and will be meeting with our Legislative Delegation and other agencies to discuss the 2019 State Appropriations Priorities adopted by the Walton County Board of County Commissioners on January 22, 2019.

The 2019 State and Federal Appropriations Priorities are:  Water and Sewer along U.S. Highway 331; County Road 280A – connector road; Water and Sewer along U.S. Highway 90 West; Sewer to area Choctawhatchee Bay residents, and area Coastal Dune Lake residents – replacement of current septic tanks in both areas; South Walton Transit Service Development Project; Drainage and Stormwater Improvements on County Roads and entire length of CR 30A; Roadway Improvements adjacent to the Choctawhatchee Bay and to Coastal Dune Lakes; Northwest Florida Estuary Programs; Research and Educational Institute: Autonomous Vehicle Research and Development, Agriculture and Environmental Innovation, 30A Mobility; and Broadband Accessibility throughout Walton County Rural Areas. 

The Conference and Delegation Meetings will take place March 26 and 27, 2019 in Tallahassee, FL.
