The Inlet Beach Community Council has approached Planning Staff with a set of proposed amendments to the current Inlet Beach Neighborhood Plan. While we were reviewing the minor changes proposed for the Neighborhood Plan, we saw an opportunity to work with the Inlet Beach Community to craft a Neighborhood Plan that refines and clearly articulates the land use/zoning designations and provides consistency between the various ordinances and maps.
Additionally, Staff would like to work with the Inlet Beach Community to establish additional design guidelines to be incorporated into the Neighborhood Plan. These additional guidelines are intended to institute and explain the design policies that give the Inlet Beach Neighborhood its distinctive character.
We had a great turn out for our first Neighborhood Meeting. If you were unable to join us, or would like to participate in a different setting, we will be repeating this meeting on March 5th, 2018 at the South Walton Courthouse Annex. Below are links to the documents we shared at the meeting.
A second neighborhood meeting was held due to space and other constraints at our first meeting. Below are the meeting minutes and a new handout prepared to show a comparison between the two current Land Use Maps (FLUM and IBNP Map).
