Responsibilities


Human Resources functions as a business partner with County Administration and is responsible for attracting and retaining qualified employees for the Walton County Board of County Commissioners (WCBCC). In addition, we coordinate most employee-related functions:

  • Employment including recruiting, advertising, screening, selecting, hiring and on-boarding
  • Employee and labor relations including reward, recognition, investigations, discipline and discharge
  • Benefits
  • WCBCC and human resource policies and procedures
  • Workers' Compensation
  • General liability insurance
  • Position classification and compensation including job analysis, position descriptions, and wage and salary administration
  • Compliance
  • Development and training
