Responsibilities
Human Resources functions as a business partner with County Administration and is responsible for attracting and retaining qualified employees for the Walton County Board of County Commissioners (WCBCC). In addition, we coordinate most employee-related functions:
- employment including recruiting, advertising, screening, selecting, hiring and on-boarding
- employee and labor relations including reward, recognition, investigations, discipline and discharge
- benefits
- WCBCC and human resource policies and procedures
- Workers' Compensation
- general liability insurance
- position classification and compensation including job analysis, position descriptions, and wage and salary administration
- compliance
- development and training
