Post-Disaster Redevelopment Planning Overview
Florida Statutes Section 163.3178 requires that comprehensive plans include an objective to establish a Post-Disaster Redevelopment Plan. The Florida Department of Community Affairs and the Florida Division of Emergency Management released a best practices guide book titled "Post-Disaster Redevelopment Planning: A Guide for Florida Communities"

In order to comply with the requirements, Walton County is utilizing grant funds from Florida Department of Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management Agency. The scope of work for the contract between Walton County and Florida Department of Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management Agency outlines the schedule of work and budget for the process

Request for Proposal for Consulting Services for a Post Disaster Redevelopment Plan 

The Post Disaster Redevelopment Plan has been approved by the State and adopted by the Walton County Board of County Commissioners with Resolution 2012-69.
