The Library Advisory Board reviews and makes recommendations on all policies of library administration.

The Library Advisory Board advises the Library Director on new and emerging areas needing library services as well as continuing existing library programs and services.

The Library Advisory Board also makes recommendations on the hiring of the Library Director when that position is vacant and provides a member of the Library Advisory Board to serve on the interview panel for applicants.

Library Advisory Board members are appointed for 3 years, and cannot serve more than 2 consecutive terms by by-laws. One appointment is made from each Commissioner district, 1 representative each appointed by City of DeFuniak Springs, Freeport, and Paxton; and 1 member at large appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.

Quarterly, on the 3rd Monday, 4:00 pm, rotates among the four libraries
