When placing a mobile home in the (SFHA) Special Flood Hazard Area Ordinance 2005-27 requires the home be placed on a permanent foundation with a reinforced pier or piling system that is designed, reviewed, signed and sealed by a Florida registered Architect or Engineer.

2008 National Electrical Code (NEC) will take effect on October 1, 2009

All projects that require building permit applications, submitted after February 28, 2009, will have to be designed and built using the 2007 version of the Florida Building Code.
